Moves between Turkish cities
Not every move crosses a border. Many of our customers move within Turkey – from Istanbul to Izmir, from Ankara to the Aegean, from Bursa to Antalya or back to their home town on the Black Sea. Returnees from Europe whose belongings were first cleared through customs in Istanbul are also delivered by us to any city in the country. The same standards apply as for our international moves: net m³ measurement, insured packing, a dedicated contact person and dates confirmed in writing.
Combined with international moves
Customers often combine an international move with transport within Turkey. A typical example: a family returns from Germany, the belongings are released by customs in Istanbul and then taken to Trabzon, Kayseri or Muğla. Another: a household from Ankara moves to Germany; our team packs in Ankara, brings the shipment to Istanbul and organises export and transport to Europe from there. Because every step is handled by us, there is no handover to another company and no double packing.

Dedicated vehicle or part load within Turkey
For a whole household we use a dedicated vehicle that drives straight from the old address to the new one. For smaller volumes – a student room, a few pieces of furniture, boxes for a second home – we offer a part load in which several shipments heading the same way travel together. It is cheaper but requires some flexibility on the date.
External lifts and difficult access
In many Turkish cities families live in apartment buildings with narrow stairwells and small lifts. Large items such as wall units, sofas or fridges can often only be moved safely with an external furniture lift. During the survey we check whether one is needed and whether it can be set up against the façade. It protects furniture, the stairwell and the neighbours, and shortens moving day considerably.
Planning and transit time
With a dedicated vehicle, delivery usually takes place the day after loading or – on very long routes such as Istanbul to Van, or Edirne to Hatay – within a few days. With a part load the date depends on the load. We confirm the exact delivery date in writing. The moving planner helps you organise your tasks before the move.
How the price is calculated
The cost of a move within Turkey depends on volume, distance, packing service, floor levels at both addresses, whether an external lift is needed, and any extras such as storage. The m³ calculator gives you a first estimate of the volume. After the survey you receive a binding written quote.
Popular routes within Turkey
From our base in Istanbul-Pendik we travel regularly to every region. Moves from Istanbul to Izmir, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Muğla with Bodrum and Fethiye, Aydın with Kuşadası and Didim, Balıkesir with Ayvalık and Edremit, and the Black Sea region with Trabzon, Samsun, Ordu, Giresun and Rize are particularly common. Central Anatolia with Konya, Kayseri and Sivas and the south-east with Gaziantep, Adana and Mersin are also regular destinations. Because we handle the international leg too, we can plan the entire journey from your flat in Germany to your new home in Anatolia from a single source.
Moving into a holiday or summer house
A common special case is moving into a holiday home on the Aegean or Mediterranean. These houses are often in complexes with narrow access roads or in villages with steep streets that large trucks struggle to reach. We then plan a smaller shuttle vehicle to bring furniture from the large truck to the front door. During the survey – on site, or by video with photos of the access – we work out the best solution.
Delivering from interim storage
If your belongings have waited a few weeks or months at FlexiDepo in Istanbul after your return, we deliver as soon as your house is ready. The boxes are numbered and recorded in the inventory list, so you can call off individual items in advance – for example the kitchen and beds first, the rest later. This flexibility is particularly helpful when renovation work is done in several phases.
Safety and insurance on long routes
Even within Turkey, removal trucks often cover more than a thousand kilometres. So we pack just as carefully as for an international move, secure the load with straps and partitions and transport with transport and comprehensive insurance. Our drivers observe the required rest periods; on very long routes we schedule two drivers so the delivery arrives on time.
What happens on moving day
On the agreed day our team arrives with the vehicle, tools and packing materials. Floors, doors and the stairwell are protected first. Then we dismantle the furniture, pack everything using our numbering system and carry the load to the truck – with the external lift if needed. Finally we walk through the empty rooms with you and you sign the inventory list. At the destination your contact person calls ahead; the team carries every box to the right room, reassembles the furniture and takes the packing material away on request.
Moves for students and young professionals
Many young people move to another city to study or start their first job – from Istanbul to Ankara, from Izmir to Istanbul or to one of Anatolia’s many university towns. For these small moves we offer part loads in which books, clothes, a bed and a desk travel cheaply with other shipments. On request we pack everything and reassemble the furniture in the halls of residence or shared flat.
Moves within Istanbul
We also handle moves within Istanbul – between the Asian and European sides, from Kadıköy to Beşiktaş, from Pendik to Başakşehir or to the new residential districts on the outskirts. Because of heavy traffic, we plan journey times carefully, start early in the morning and take bridge and tunnel routes into account. For flats in narrow old-town streets we use smaller vehicles. On request we reserve parking, agree the date with building management and drop off packing materials a few days in advance, so you can start packing at your own pace.
One contact person from start to finish
Whether you are moving within Istanbul, from Istanbul to Izmir or from Germany to the Black Sea coast, you always have the same contact person. They organise the survey, quote, packing, transport and delivery, answer your questions by phone or WhatsApp and let you know if anything in the schedule changes. We can speak with you in English, German or Turkish, so you keep track at all times, even on a move of many hundreds of kilometres.
Returning from Europe straight to your home town
For returnees, the journey does not end with customs clearance in Istanbul. Many families move on to Sivas, Yozgat, Kayseri, Çorum, Amasya, Tokat or the Black Sea coast. We organise the whole route: collection in Germany, the Netherlands or Austria, clearance in Istanbul and onward transport to your front door – with the same contact person and the same inventory list. Tips for a smooth domestic move
- Inform building management at both addresses about moving day and reserve the lift.
- Check whether parking outside the building is allowed, or have a space kept free.
- Transfer electricity, water, gas and internet in good time.
- Pack a suitcase with clothes, medicines and documents for the first days.
- Declutter before the move – every cubic metre less saves money.
